THANK YOU FROM YOUR CORCOM LEADERS
I began this letter of thanks last night after I arrived home from our spiritual assembly in Scranton, PA. Sadly I could not finish this epistle to you as I felt asleep on this laptop computer. According to my wife it was my nine year old daughter Afia who saw my sordid posture in front of the computer and my wife said I was like a dead dog by the roadside. Thank God I am revived and can complete this letter to you today.
I want on behalf of our Corcom leaders to thank you a million times for your participation, for mobilizing your church members and for driving several hours to camp meeting 2008. Besides what God did for us, I give credit to you for the role you played which made our meetings a success. Without you it would have been a different story but thank God we saw the hands of the Lord throughout our time of deliberations at the camp grounds.
As soon as the banner came down from the auditorium where we had our meetings, your Corcom leaders met for appraisal. We realized that in some areas we made some mistakes and that we need to improve and grow so as to make future meetings an enjoyable one. We would like to apologise for some of the misshaps that occured during camp meeting. Sometimes our over enthusiasm caused us to do certain things and we would like to seek for your forgiveness.
We are constantly seeking for ways and means to improve our planning, programs, food, lectures, registration, children's programs and other logistics with the camp meeting. This is where we value your suggestions, inputs and concerns so that we can improve upon subsequent camp meetings.
Whatever ideas you have do not hesitate to call any of us or send us emails or pass them to your church Pastor or Corcom representatives who will also bring them to our attention. By God's grace we would act on it and implement your concerns as much as we can. We may not be perfect but the Lord will strengthen us.
Since we have already set up the program and planning committees, I would like you to drop me a mail on your thoughts on the following
- How can we make camp meetings more affordable/cost effective for our constutuent?
- What programs holds your interest and why?
- What non spiritual or social programs can be added to our program to add more vim to our stay at camp meetings?
- Do you have any theme you will like us to consider?
- How about names you will like to recommend as guest speakers or presenters?
- Any side attractions that can add a bit of sparks to the meetings?
Finally, I would like to thank all the church Pastors, Elders, various speakers, committees and individuals who spent sleepless nights to make Lern more
